Gen Re Project - Advantage Air Systems

What We Did

Following the development of the design and specification in conjunction with the mechanical consultant, Advantage Air Systems was engaged to carry out modifications to the existing HVAC systems serving the premises. Heating and cooling was provided by an aging VAV system comprised of approximately forty units, all of which were refurbished as part of the works. Several new VAV boxes were installed and existing plant relocated to facilitate the revised floor layout, all of which entailed extensive modifications to the primary and secondary ductwork.

Local extraction systems were provided for the areas housing the client’s photocopiers and multi function printers, with a dedicated smoke extraction system installed to serve the Comms room.

Breakout areas were provided with domestic services and drainage as well as ZIP taps to provide chilled and boiling water for the staff. Each of these areas was also equipped with underfloor water detection systems.

The site BMS system was upgraded and additional controls installed to enable the operation and monitoring of the mechanical services modified as part of the project.
